Moving closer to my departure date.
I will be leaving January 14th, Spirit Airlines direct flight to Lima. I arrive at 11:00PM Peru time which is incidently the same time on the east coast.
If you're interested I'm probably staying at www.thepointhostels.com Allthough I am probably going to hike the Incan trail to Cuzco and find accomidations there.
In related news I registered with the U.S. Department of State and they send me a neat little travel advisory that the "Coca Growers" are planning for an "action" near cuzco. I don't exactly know what this means but I am hoping that the "Coca Growers" are a jovial yet motley group
of pranksters and are just going to head out into Cuzco with some black spray paint and change the speed limit signs to "100 0 km/h" from 100.
I picked up 500 Nueve Solles which is the Peruvian currency today just to get me through. Its pink and yellow with a holographic stripe running through it...Pretty Trippy.
Also just figured I'd post:

Preparing
In New York today.
Picked up the quad band cell phone from my brother today and
activated "World Roam" also I picked up a SIM adapter which
lets me put two SIMS in one phone so if you want to call me while
I'm abroad you can use my regular 631 number or the 212.
Also I found transportation to take me from Lima, Peru to
Baranco on the pacific coast. The ride is about the distance from
Manhattan to Patchogue but with the exchange rate it should only
be about 18 dollars.
Awsome.

A New Day
Well 2008 is here and I'm excited. I'm considering 2008 a "clean up" year. I have a lot of loose strings that need to be tied up and I want to take control early on and get ready for a big push before Law School. But this year is also going to be a year of self discovery.
I am going to spend some time with myself, and with the world. So, if you are reading this you should know, I'm going to be dropping off the grid for a while. Its not that I don't want to see anyone, I'm going to be traveling quite a bit.
And it's starting now.
I have no solid itinerary but I will be in Peru soon.
I'll post my international cell, and pictures etc.
Peace
